Systemic
Intracellular Bacterial Infections (Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Borrelia
species) in Neurodegenerative (Multiple Sclerosis, Amyotrophic Lateral
Sclerosis, Alzheimer's) and Behavioral (Autistic Spectrum Disorders)
Diseases
by Prof. Garth L. Nicolson
Professor Garth Nicolson reports on research that reveals and underscores
the significant presence of systemic bacterial, viral, and/or fungal
infections in causing and perpetuating neurodegenerative diseases
and behavioral neurological conditions, such as amyotrophic lateral
sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, autistic
spectrum disorders, and Lyme disease. In his extensive review, the
author investigates the roles Mycoplasma species, Chlamydia pneumoniae,
Brucella species, Borrelia burgdorferi, and other infections play
in specific disease states, and he calls for an integrative, long-term
treatment approach.
Autism:
A Multi-System Oxidative and Inflammatory Disorder
by Robin Bernhoft, MD, FACS, and Rashid
Buttar, DO, FAAPM, FACAM, FAAIM
Oxidative stress and inflammation instigate and underlie numerous
chronic illnesses. The authors review the role of both conditions
in the pathophysiology of autism; consider the causes of oxidative
stress – particularly, the role of heavy metals; and present
the most effective therapeutic strategies, some of which, the authors
suggest, can go a long way in addressing symptoms of autism spectrum
disorders.
Autism
and Vitamin D
by John J. Cannell, MD
With the advent of "sun avoidance," our primary avenue
to vitamin D repletion has been blocked, while with the dramatic
increase of environmental toxins, the human need has increased.
Since activated vitamin D, or calcitriol, possesses unique anti-inflammatory,
immunomodulatory, and nootropic qualities, this depletion may play
a major role in the burgeoning cases of autism, especially given
the decreasing levels of vitamin D in pregnant and nursing mothers.
Usage
of RNA Fragments for Behavioral Disorders in Europe
by Monique Lucas-Beljanski
Treatment with Real Build®, regulated as a dietary supplement
in the US, has been shown to result in notable improvement in childhood
neurological disorders. Real Build® is, the authors hope, only
the first of many potential products to make use of the groundbreaking
research of Professor Mirko Beljanski, a renowned French biologist,
who used RNA fragments to stimulate bone marrow DNA and consequently
engender the development of new stem cells.
Healing
with Electromedicine and Sound Therapies: Part Two
by Nenah Sylver, PhD
The argument for the "health restorative effects of correctly
applied energetics" continues in this important discussion
on the role of electromedicine, with a detailed look at specific
EM therapeutic methods and tools and an introduction to practical
sound therapies.
Guided
Digital Medicine,TM Autism, ADHD, and Other Brain Disorders
by Savely Yurkovsky, MD
A searing assessment of the current medical model for the treatment
of brain disorders and a call for a more coherent and effective
approach, one that encompasses a more complex diagnosis and makes
use, too, of the author's trademarked bioresonance testing.
A
Debate: Homeopathy – Quackery or a Key to the Future of Medicine?
University of Connecticut Health Center;
Farmington, Connecticut; October 25, 2007
Last fall, six internationally renowned experts debated the efficacy
of homeopathy. The excerpts published here reveal a lively debate
on a medical modality that has inspired and confounded experts for
two centuries.
