Hello Healers,

We’ve got a lively batch of new reads this week. Dr. Michelle Perro is calling for a Global Children’s Health Bill of Rights and tackling the hidden GMO problem in our food. Donnie Yance shares one of his go-to smoothie recipes that’s full of goodness and easy to make. Dr. Geo Espinosa weighs in on testosterone therapy, and Dr. Julia von Schuckmann helps us untangle the stubborn knot of trauma pain. Dr. Alan Gaby sounds the alarm on the FDA’s plan to ban desiccated thyroid, and Rudy Shur gives us a down-to-earth review of What You Must Know About Eyestrain.

It’s also a special milestone — one year since the launch of the new Townsend Letter! We would like to thank all our wonderful authors who share their knowledge with us, and you, our readers! Thank you for being part of our community.

By Michelle Perro, MD - Without labeling of foods, parents are unable to identify which are industrialized “food-like” products and which are produced without engineering, almost requiring people to have a PhD in genetics to be able to avoid GMOs in the aisles of their...

By Donnie Yance, the Mederi Center - This nutrient-packed smoothie recipe blends hydration, probiotics, whole-food concentrates, and superfoods for a balanced, energizing boost that sustains any time of the day.

By Geo Espinosa, ND, LAc - In well-selected, well-monitored men, testosterone therapy can improve quality of life—without compromising oncologic outcomes.

By Dr. Julia v. Schuckmann - Trauma pain is not layered; it is intertwined. Treating it effectively requires a framework that addresses the interactions of fascia with the nerves, the nerves with the brain, and the brain with the lived experience of trauma.  Fascia, a...

By Alan R. Gaby, M.D. - The banning of desiccated thyroid (DT) would cause great harm to hundreds of thousands of Americans, because DT is often the most effective, and in some cases the only effective treatment for hypothyroidism, and the FDA should do much...

Review by Rudy Shur - Eyestrain may be a normal symptom of the times we live in, but it has consequences - headaches, blurred vision, eye pain, dry eye, excessive tearing, excessive blinking, double vision, eye fatigue, heavy eyes, burning sensation, difficulty focusing, poor night...

THE MOSS REPORT

Ralph W. Moss, PhD – In alternative medicine, it is not uncommon for someone to propose a sweeping idea that is overstated yet contains a kernel of truth. The medical establishment, eager to highlight flaws, often dismisses the entire concept—thereby “throwing out the baby with the bathwater.” But history teaches us that both things can be true at once: a theory may be deeply flawed, while still hinting at something worth exploring. A striking case in point is Hulda Rehger Clark, Ph.D. (1928–2009). Trained as a zoologist, she earned her doctorate at the University of Minnesota in 1958, with a dissertation on electrolyte balance in crayfish muscle. She later obtained a naturopathic degree from a non-accredited college in Alabama. What made her distinctive was her claim that all cancers—and virtually all diseases—stemmed from infection with a single parasite, the intestinal fluke Fasciolopsis buski, acting in concert with environmental pollutants. To treat this presumed infection, she promoted a “parasite cleanse” built around traditional botanicals, especially green (immature) black walnut hulls, which contain the naphthoquinone juglone, a compound with documented anti-parasitic activity. She also marketed an electronic device she called the “Zapper.” Clark built a remarkable following. Her self-published The Cure for All Cancers (1993) was followed […]
