Terra Madre – Salone Del Gusto
The 16th Terra Madre Salone del Gusto will take place from September 24 to 27, 2026, in the grand historic piazzas of Turin’s city center.
Hundreds of activities will be held in the streets, squares and neighborhoods of the city, including conferences, seminars, Taste Workshops and Dinner Dates with food producers and chefs and sensory games. There will also be a host of new formats developed in collaboration with the city’s leading cultural institutions and meetings with food professionals in schools and in community and school gardens.
At the heart of it all will be the magnificent Terra Madre Salone del Gusto Market, featuring over 700 producers from Italy and around the world who have made the protection of biodiversity and the promotion of their local areas the hallmark of their work.
From September 24 to 27, we highlight the Slow Food Foundation ETS International Assembly. This is the movement’s main political and strategic gathering, where members of the global network come together to chart the future course, renew their shared vision, and strengthen their commitment to building fair, sustainable, and biodiversity-friendly food systems.

Terra Madre Salone del Gusto: An Event in the Heart of the City
For 2026, Terra Madre Salone del Gusto is getting a new look as it takes over some of Turin’s most iconic and beautiful city-center locations, including:
- Piazza San Carlo
- Piazza Castello, Piazzetta Reale
- Piazza Carlo Alberto, Piazza C.L.N
- Via Roma
- Piazza Vittorio
But that’s not all: Activities will be held all over Turin, in cinemas and theaters, auditoriums and schools, restaurants and cafés, museums and countless other venues, thanks to the Off program.
From the World to Turin: The Terra Madre Journey Five Months of the Road to Terra Madre, Eight Days of Terra Madre Off
In 2026 the Terra Madre journey is expanding, enriched with important activities that will contribute to spreading the event outside the confines of the city of Turin and far beyond the event’s core dates. Key to this expansion is a five-month journey around Italy and the rest of the world with the Road to Terra Madre program, followed by a focus on Turin and Piedmont, from September 21 to 28, with Terra Madre Off.
The Road to Terra Madre: May 1–September 20, around Italy and the rest of the world
Road to Terra Madre activities will be held all over the world in the months leading up to Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, from May 1 to September 20. In questo percorso si inseriscono due importanti momenti di anteprima, il 6-7 giugno all’Orto Botanico di Roma e il 19-21 giugno a Tropea, in cui anticipare i grandi temi dell’evento di Torino, attraverso il focus sulla biodiversità del territorio. This program includes two key preview events: June 6–7 at the Botanical Garden in Rome and June 19–21 in Tropea, where the main themes of the Turin event will be previewed through a focus on the region’s biodiversity.
Terra Madre Off: September 21-30, in Turin and Piedmont
The Terra Madre Off program runs from September 21 to 28, mostly in Turin but also in the wider Piedmont region.
Anyone can contribute to the journey! Just fill out the participation form with your proposal. All ideas will be reviewed by the Slow Food team and included in the official calendar if they meet the selection criteria.
Free entry
Entry to Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2026 will be free. Some of the programmed activities will be ticketed, such as Taste Workshops and Dinner Dates, with tickets sold online on this website from early July. All activities with a cost will be marked “ticketed event.”
