Dr. Holly Christy is a Washington-based naturopathic physician, licensed acupuncturist, and performance medicine clinician who’s spent the last 25 years proving what’s possible and then making it accessible. Her work is grounded in a simple idea: people don’t need to be “healed.” They need to be taught how to heal themselves with tools, education, and care that respects the intelligence of the body. Holly’s approach is built on four core healing beliefs: empowerment, integration, accessibility, and integrity. Her path into medicine started when she was a professional athlete who refused to accept generic answers. That same insistence on root-cause solutions led her to naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, and ultimately Fascial Counterstrain, a specialized, pain-free manual therapy designed to release trapped inflammation and restore function across the body’s fascial systems. Holly became the first physician trained at the expert level, the first woman to teach the method, and she remains the only physician instructor of Fascial Counterstrain. But “it works” wasn’t enough. Holly pursued the research to back it up, conducting and publishing the first peer-reviewed clinical study on Fascial Counterstrain for PTSD in Military Medicine. Today, she integrates Fascial Counterstrain with regenerative peptides, IV therapy, acupuncture, and functional medicine to support recovery, resilience, and high performance—working with athletes, trauma survivors, dancers, leaders, and anyone ready to take ownership of their healing. Holly is the founder of Element 7 Wellness and a co-founder of the Bridge Back Project, where she serves as principal investigator and executive director. She also mentors future clinicians as a clinical adjunct faculty member at Bastyr University. As a speaker and collaborator, she brings rigorous science, deep clinical experience, and real-world results to conversations about the future of trauma recovery and performance medicine—always with the same aim: follow the data, share the knowledge, and help people reclaim what their bodies are capable of.

Rapid Reduction in Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Symptom Severity after Three Fascial Counterstrain Manual Treatments: A Proof-of-Concept Study

by Holly Christy, ND; Brian Tuckey, PT; Nirnaya Miljacic, PhD; Nayak Polissar, PhD; Meena Vythilingam, MD = Despite the substantial burden to individuals, families, and communities, only a minority of individuals with PTSD receive treatment, and the rates of dropout from treatments are high. We have a need for innovative, rapidly effective treatment options that are well tolerated and accepted by individuals with PTSD.
